It’s Monday – What Are You Reading? (6.5.11)

I have been wanting to read Shelter Mountain for a while – how was it? I have also heard great things about Cleopatra! Have an excellent week Kristin!

@Bonnie I really enjoyed Shelter Mountain…it's Preacher's story and of course Jack and Mel's story continues from the first one. I started reading Cleopatra back in January for my book club meeting that month, never finished the book and never made it to that meeting – I really just need to finish it! I liked what I had read so far.

@ Sheila: Chasing the Night is awesome so far. It's the latest in the Eve Duncan series and the narrator is fantastic!

@ Dizzy C: I read The Tudor Secret and really enjoyed it – looking forward to seeing what you thought of it.

@Marce I had never read Lisa Gardner before but last year and then again this year I was asked to participate in her blog tours, so I decided I would now go back and read the beginning of the series.

I'm interested as to how you find Cleopatra – I couldn't get into it.
Can't wait to see the contest 🙂

@Tethered Mommy I started it back in January – it was our book club pick for that month. I realized I wasn't going to be able to go to the meeting, so I put it aside. I liked what I had read so far, now I just need to finish it. It is a slow book, but I found it to be very interesting.

Summer school begins for me so my reading for fun will take second place to reading for homework. So my reading for fun will have to take second place to reading for school. Come see what I finished in my last week of vacation.

I'm looking forward to your review of the Amy Tan: I'll be teaching a World Lit. class to 10th graders next year so I'm looking for a variety of strong contemporary books, both adult and YA.
And I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog too: Following now, and hope you might consider doing the same, Kristin.
