June is Audiobook Month and Jen at Devourer of Books is hosting a special week dedicated to audiobooks this week. I’m sad to see that this special week is coming to a close. I’ve had a great time meeting new bloggers who love audio as much as I have come to and have added a ton of titles to look for when I need a new audio.
Today’s discussion topic is about resources:
Where do you learn about great audiobook titles? Find reviews? Buy your audiobooks? Share your secrets with the rest of us!
As I have mentioned numerous times this week, I am still a newbie when it comes to listening to audio books. So far I have only used the library to find them and have had pretty good luck finding something I want to listen to. My town library has an adequate selection of audios, but the library where I work has a better selection, so I tend to find better choices there. I also use the library’s online system to find and request audio books when I am looking for a specific title.
I think my library has downloadable audiobooks through Overdrive – I really need to check this out as I have 2 ipods and could use one for music and one for books!
As you can see, I have limited resources – any suggestions would be most welcome!

Definitely check out Overdrive if your library has it. It's a fantastic resource, especially for impatient people like me :o)

I love Overdrive. Our library subscribes too and it is a wonderful resource. I don't like to pay for audiobooks since they are often expensive. I too try to get everything from my library when possible.
I am another huge fan of Overdrive.
Overdrive is great. One trick I have learned is that, here in Pennsylvania, we have Access PA, which allows you to apply for Library cards to many libraries in the state. Doing this greatly increases the Overdrive Options. You should also check to see if your library has NetLibrary, It's not as easy to use as Overdrive, but it's another source of free audiobooks.
