FIR ’10: Reading Question #6

FIR is hosted by Katrina atCallapidderdays.

Every Tuesday this fall, Katrina will be posting a question about reading.

Today’s question:Where do you love to read? Note: I don’t mean where do you actually do most of your reading, because that might be the carpool line, the work cafeteria, or even the bathroom (if you have to escape from a few small children in order to read a chapter of your book). I mean, what are a few of the places where you LOVE to read?

I have a few places – most at home and one elsewhere. I’m not sure which one is my overall favorite as they are all great places to read.

* My couch – it is very comfy and has lots of pillows so you can adjust them to the way you are sitting. Plus, my dog loves to cozy up right next to me and keep me warm especially in the colder months!

* My bed – I love reading right before going to sleep – it helps me clear my mind. Sometimes, I am able to get a lot read and some nights I fall asleep after reading only a page or two.

* On my front porch – right now it’s difficult to read out there as I don’t have any furniture there, but during the summer, I sat out there with my beach chair and it was great…I can’t wait to get some nice wicker furniture with comfy cushions so that it can be a reading haven!

* On the porch of the boat club – from May to October, my husband sails on Sunday afternoons and I love going down there and sitting on one of the rocking chairs on the porch overlooking the river and just read. There is usually a nice breeze and I am able to see the sailing, be out of the sun, and still enjoy the day – and usually get lots of reading done!

What about you? Where’s do you love to read?

Nice places to read, I like my front porch also, however, it is enclosed so I can use it almost all year round.

They all sound like comfy places. I think I'd enjoy the boat club most because of the sound of the water.
My answer to this weeks’ question can be found at Hott Books

Those all sound heavenly! I blogged about my reading places also – but long story short, in bed before sleeping at night!
