FIR ’10: Reading Question #3

FIR is hosted by Katrina atCallapidderdays.

Every Tuesday this fall, Katrina will be posting a question about reading.

Today’s question: Do you eat/drink while reading? If so, do you have some favorite reading snacks?

The short answer is yes to the drink and sometimes to the food.

I always have a drink near me – either a glass of water or a cuppa tea or sometimes a glass of wine (if I’m reading just before dinner or even sometimes after dinner!). As for food, I have been known to read while eating breakfast or lunch – I work from home most days and have the luxury of having long lunches! If I’m just snacking, then I find pretzels or cashews or even chocolate are good snacks to have nearby. I am a definite chocolaholic and there is always chocolate around – my favorite being dark chocolate and just recently bought a bag of Hershey’s miniatures all in dark chocolate – YUMMY!!!

What about you?Are you a snacker/drinker when reading?

I seem to be drinking most of the day as well, luckily for my waist line, it's mostly water!

I sometimes have a cup of coffee or if I'm really indulging a cup of hot chocolate. I'm usually turning pages so don't have time to eat. 🙂 I'm finding this with my current book "Rain Dance" by author Joy DeKok. It's a real page turner!
