Teaser Tuesday

MizB of Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesday. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Here’s a tease of what I am currently reading:

After putting down the telephone the eighty-two-year-old birthday boy sat for a long time looking at the pretty but meaningless flower whose name he did not yet know. Then he looked up at the wall above his desk.

From The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson , pg. 7

Please leave a comment with a link to your teaser so I can stop by.

This book has been on my TBR stack for a while. I like the teaser you chose. My teaser is from Naamah's Curse by Jacqueline Carey.

Cute teaser – sounds like a fun read. Here's mine from Harry Taylor's new compelling crime thriller called, "Rogues, Riches and Retribution":

"Eventually the thought passed and as the car sped along the highway Juliet began to notice in the rear view mirror the image of a white limo traveling in her wake. She had been driving for quite a while now and yet it was still there on her tail."
