This weekend I will be participating in my very first Bloggiesta!
This is a great weekend blogging marathon set up by Natasha at Maw Books, and this weekend will be the third installment.
The premise of the bloggiesta, for those that haven’t participated before, is to spend the entire weekend working, updating, improving your blog. From minor things such as writing up posts, to reaching out for guests posts and reorganizing all of your tags and categories.
So what do I plan to do this weekend? Well… here’s my list:
- Write up a few reviews that I need to post/set up posts for upcoming reviews
- Prepare a few posts for rainy days
- Set up templates for weekly memes
- Clean-up tags, category lists
- Update my side bars and add an awards page
- Update my reading challenges lists
- Update reading logs
- Revise my “About Me” page
- Clean up my Google Reader subscriptions
- Visit the Blogging Tips group on the Book Blogs Ning and find ways to improve my blog.
- Participate in at least 2 mini-challenges
It’ll be a fun and hopefully very productive weekend!

I'm participating in Bloggiesta as well (my first time). I'm looking forward to it as I have a lot of catching up to do! I like your idea of creating templates for weekly memes – may add that to my list as well.

I did the mini challenges and found them to be very insightful. Tonight after the kids go to bed I am going to try to hit some of the past ones. Good Luck this weekend!!

I just finished my About Me page. I always find it kind of awkward to write about myself, but now that it's done I kind of like it.
